This 1984 Ferrari 512 BBi is a classic rarity, one of only 1,007 produced. It initially belonged to Pietro Iurilli, a Ferrari mechanic, and was brought to the US from Italy in 1984. Purchased from BaT in December 2022, it has been meticulously maintained, including an engine-out timing belt service in March 2023. The car shines in Rosso Corsa red with a tan leather interior. It boasts a 4.9-liter flat-12 engine, five-speed manual transaxle, Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, and unique Cromodora wheels. It combines modern comforts like power windows and air conditioning with classic features such as a gated shifter, leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel, and Pioneer cassette stereo.

Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti of Pininfarina, it was first showcased at the 1971 Turin Auto Show. The 512 BBi, debuting in 1981 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, was a US rarity, often imported through gray markets. This Ferrari, repainted in its original color, features pop-up headlights, fog lights, NACA ducts, and quad exhaust outlets. It drives like a dream with a fully independent suspension and double wishbones. The interior presents tan leather seats, a contrasting brown leather dashboard, Veglia Borletti instruments, and a 200-mph speedometer. Despite some leather separation at the windshield's base, it's in great condition, displaying 75,850 miles. The car ensures smooth power delivery to the rear wheels, and its clutch, replaced by a previous owner, performs excellently.
