Description

Here you go!! This 1986 Ferrari 328 GTS, Giallo Modena (Yellow), Euro Spec, 63,177 Km was born and raised Italian. I purchased my dream car in January 2022 from a private seller when I was working over in Sicily for the DoD and when my tour was done I had the car shipped back to the states. I had the vehicle “denationalized” which means that the vehicle was removed from the Italian system and entered into the American registration system to be able to own it, drive on base and ship back when you leave…I have all the Italian documents from the purchase along with a Bill of Sale in both English and Italian along with the customs documentation. Since I have had the car I have put less than 2,500 Km on it.

I did not drive the car too much in Sicily due to the narrow roads and lots of traffic everywhere but when I did drive it to and from work it was only an 11 mile drive each way. This car has been so much fun and exciting to drive, the gated 5 speed manual transmission is so nice when you hear it clicking into the next gear slot…nothing like it. Being that is it yellow it really turns heads and always gets the “Awesome car” or “Great looking car” or “How fast have you had it?” comments or the best one was “Is that the same car from Magnum PI?”. My reply to the Magnum question is "No...that is the 308" and point out some differences. I usually just say “I drive it because it is classy and has great style but if I need it some speed is there” and I have had people in a grocery store parking lot crowd around just to take pictures of it. I drive it a day or two every couple weeks just because it is amazing to drive even for an almost 40 years old machine, it really hugs the road. Before driving it I check the weather to make sure that is no rain in the forecast so it have never seen rain.

In Sicily all maintenance was performed by Cronos Automotive Group specializing in both Ferrari and Maserati vehicles and since I have been back in the states any maintenance that was performed at Ferrari of Philadelphia, I have copies of all maintenance records from both places (Cronos maintenance documents are in Italian) in a binder. Ferrari of Philadelphia has all records of the work they completed and the most recent maintenance that was performed by them consisted of the some of the following: Driver side window adjustment, oil/filter replacement, brake fluid/filter flush and change, all belts replaced, spark plug and wire set replacement, valve cover gasket, oil cooler replacement and 4 new tires mounted and balanced with alignment, front/rear brake pads/rotors, clutch pedal adjustment and repaired a loose terminal on reverse light.

Pininfarina paid particular attention to styling details that influenced the car's CD and aerodynamic lift characteristics – with impressive results. Cabin ergonomics were improved and the shape of the seats revised to better suit the sporty driving style this type of car deserved. On all versions, low profile tyres and 16" alloy wheels were available as an option.
