Description
Beautiful 1976 Ferrari Dino GT4 in the elegant silver/black configuration.
My first job was at Bertone, and years later it was obvious for me my first classic carnshould be one designed there. I just love the Gandini 70s lines and the fact it was not the typical Pininfarina car. As probably you know it is the only production Ferrari designed in Bertone, mounts the smaller V8 ever and only 850 units were ever built.
I bought the car almost a decade ago and have driven it sporadically since then. Engine was rebuilt just before I acquired it. Always stored in a garage with more cars and covered by a tailor made car cover (included). Tires have less than 100km on it.
In one of the photos you can see the "BERTONE" and "b" huge signs, those are the original signs used at the Bertone official stand in some European Motorshows. They are included with the car and are the perfect collectors item to be displayed. I had the huge honor to visit Maestro Marcello Gandini few times at his house, the fuel cap has a hand written dedication/signature by him. The car is also featured in my last book www.madeinitalybook.com
The car is located in Turin, Italy.
The Dino 208 GT4 came about when Ferrari decided to fit a 2000cc engine in the body of the Dino 308 GT4. The car was destined primarily for the Italian market, because in those days taxation was particularly heavy on cars with engines above 2 litres. The engine capacity was decreased by reducing the bore of the three litre model, but maintaining the same stroke.
