Description
This 1984 Ferrari 512BBi is a wonderfully maintained and preserved example. This Ferrari was imported into the United States in 1985 as a new car, and has lived its entire life here in the USA since then. The first owner, a Mr. Alliegro of Malverne NY, owned the car until 2004, when it was sold to the owner of a Dealership in Utah, who performed the 2nd timing belt service. In 2008, It was purchased by Anthony Curreri, of Tenafly, NJ, who only put 277 miles on the car. Mr. Curreri sold the car to us and we in turn sold it to it's 4th custodian in 2021, who thoroughly enjoyed in, putting on an addition 2,500 miles under his stewardship. We have recently been fortunate to have the opportunity to reacquire this fantastic machine. It runs and drives excellently, and in many respects feels like a new car. Showing only 7644 original miles, as corroborated by the Carfax, this is one of the lowest mileage BBis on the market. This car has been meticulously maintained throughout its life, receiving multiple important services when it needed them. Throughout its life, it received services only at Ferrari Specialists, or Ferrari Dealerships. Just under 3000 miles ago in 2003, the car received a new clutch, head gaskets, and a timing belt service. In 2008, the car received another timing belt service at 5900 miles. When we took possession of the car in early 2021, we had yet another timing belt service performed, as the belts typically have a 5-7 year lifespan, even if not driven. Lastly in September of 2024, just over 100 miles ago, the clutch was replaced. The result is a fully serviced, low mileage, excellent condition BBi, ready to be used and enjoyed for years to come. We think this may be the best original in the USA, with original plastic on the interior, and the Dino Plex ignition boxes. This BBi comes with its owner's manuals, tools, records, satin seat covers, a C-TEK battery tender with quick connection, and spare wheel.
Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection on the 512 BBi replaced the outgoing model’s four, triple-choke Weber 40 IF 3C carburettors.
